Chef Nishan Andonian

​My mission is to provide exceptional service along with fresh and innovative cuisine that inspires others to love food as much I do.

My Story

My memories and love of food began in my childhood with my mother preparing traditional Armenian dishes from scratch and early Saturday morning trips to the market with my father sourcing ingredients and tasting the vendors food as the sun rose over our city.

I have a science background and for over twelve years have worked in the food industry. I have had the opportunity to work not only in commercial kitchens and catering establishments but also several prominent restaurants in Birmingham, MI.

I have had the rare opportunity to work for and train with James Beard Award Nominee, achieving Michelin status, Chef Jacques Van Staden. Together we had a consulting firm advising local restauranteurs. Later, I pursued a private Chef position with a very prominent family in the Metro Detroit area.

 

Now, for over nine years, I have had the privilege to prepare custom meals for several private families in the Metro Detroit area. Working with these families allowed me the opportunity to establish a catering company specializing in customized events with a focus on extraordinary cuisine. This expansion gave birth to the concept: The Best Table In Town Is Your Own.
